June 28th
One of our favorite evening programs made its return this week… Minute to Win It! With 60 seconds on the clock, campers, JCs, and even staff took on a whole lineup of hilarious challenges. The night was hosted by our wonderful Evening Program Princesses, with the help of a few of our JCs, and it did not disappoint.
We kicked things off with a game that seemed simple: tossing a ping pong ball into a stack of cups. The catch? Each time you made it, you had to stack another cup on top, balancing it on the ball and making your tower taller, wobblier, and much harder to manage.
Next up was a camp classic, followed by a few challenges that kept the energy high and the crowd laughing. Campers started with a ginger snap on their forehead and worked to get it down to their mouth without using their hands, leading to plenty of funny faces and very determined concentration. From there, things got more competitive with a teamwork challenge, where pairs had to move three cans across a table using only an uncooked noodle and the pop tabs, with our sister pairs going head to head trying not to break their noodle or burst into laughter. We wrapped it all up with one final crowd favorite, as campers pulled pantyhose with tennis balls over their heads and swung them around to knock down water bottles, which was just as hilarious as it sounds!
Of course, no Minute to Win It would be complete without a little bit of a mess. Campers and JCs searched through plates of whipped cream to find hidden gummy worms and transfer them into a cup. It was easily the messiest game of the night and definitely a crowd favorite.
Between the cheering, laughing, and nonstop energy, this is always one of our favorite Evening Programs. There’s nothing better than watching campers and counselors rally around each other, celebrating every win (and every failed attempt) together!
Chug-a-wump,
