ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Camp Merrie-Woode is owned and operated by the Merrie-Woode Foundation, Inc., which purchased Camp in 1978. The Merrie-Woode Foundation Board of Trustees oversees the foundation and works directly with the Executive Directors to guide and support Camp's mission. At Camp Merrie-Woode, we celebrate the spirit of adventure and growth for every girl, offering a nurturing environment that has empowered generations since 1919, where friendships flourish and every moment is an opportunity for discovery and self-expression.
The Merrie-Woode Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit education institution established with the sole responsibility of operating Camp Merrie-Woode. As a non-profit institution, Merrie-Woode relies on the generous support of the Merrie-Woode family and its donors. All contributions to the Merrie-Woode Foundation, Inc. are tax-deductible within the limits of the Internal Revenue Code.

Camp Merrie-Woode Strategic Plan
The Executive Directors and the Merrie-Woode Foundation Board of Trustees recently completed a new strategic plan to guide Camp over the next five years. The Camp Merrie-Woode Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 has 4 pillars: Camp Life, People, Programming, and Environmental & Financial Stewardship. The objectives of this plan is to align operations with Merrie-Woode’s Mission.
