Activity Specific Pre-orientation
Staff members expected to attend pre-orientation sessions will be notified during the hiring process.

Staff orientation
It is preferred that staff members join us for all three sessions, but we recognize that this is not always possible. Make sure to familiarize yourself with our June, Main, and August session dates. Both new and returning staff members are expected to attend orientation before they begin working their camp session(s).

benefits & bonuses
Benefits
Cabin and non-cabin counselor salaries start at $350.00/week for a first-year counselor. Room and board, time off, and laundry services are provided. Weekly salaries can increase depending on certifications and experience.
Bonuses
Merrie-Woode offers weekly bonuses to staff members for completion of certain trainings and holding specific certifications that can be applied to their work at Camp.
Reimbursement (full or partial) for the cost of approved trainings and certifications is offered. To request approval, please contact the Staff Director prior to enrollment in the course or training.
