BELONGING AT CAMP
today's quest for tomorrow's future
At Merrie-Woode, we are called to follow the gleam of the best that is in our hearts and carry the spirit of Merrie-Woode into the world. We shine brightest in a community where everyone belongs, and we are committed to building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive round table for all.
These values have guided the Merrie-Woode community since its earliest days, beginning with our founder, Dammie Day. Dammie envisioned Merrie-Woode as a place where all women would feel valued and included, and we continue to work toward that vision today. We believe camp should always strive to be a community where everyone belongs.
Merrie-Woode remains committed to the worthy quest of creating a more inclusive round table, one where everyone has a seat and new members are always welcomed with warmth and authenticity. As Dammie said from the beginning, “Each one is a vital part of a whole. We all matter to each other and to the whole world.”
Today’s quest is for tomorrow’s future. We will continue working to ensure that Merrie-Woode’s round table always includes a chair for everyone.
