Our August Session has started with a bang! There is always something special about the start of a new session. Camp is full of new faces, new friendships, and lots of excitement as everyone settles in under Old Bald.

Opening Day went off without a hitch, and our campers quickly jumped right into Camp life. Between tours, activity sign-ups, swim checks, and getting to know their cabins, it was a busy afternoon, but these girls were all smiles. We wrapped up the day with Opening Campfire, one of our favorite traditions and the perfect way to kick off the session.

Yesterday was our first full day of activities, and campers got into the rhythm of Camp life in no time. From Swimming and Riding to Tennis, Dance, Arts & Crafts, and Music, there has been plenty of fun happening all around Camp. It has been so fun to see girls trying new things, meeting campers from other cabins, and settling into their schedules.

Last night, we ended the day with Deck the Counselor, always a favorite Evening Program. Cabins set out to transform a counselor according to a theme, using plenty of creativity, teamwork, and whatever supplies they could get their hands on. There were lots of laughs, lots of cheering, and plenty of cabin bonding along the way.

It's only been a few days, but this session is already off to a great start. We are looking forward to seeing these campers grow more confident, make new friends, and create memories that will last long after they leave Camp.

Just because Main Session is winding down in days does NOT mean we are winding down on energy or fun! We had a ton of trips head out over the past few days, making the most of every minute we have left under Old Bald. Campers spent two days climbing at Pickens Nose, hiked to High Falls, and paddled the West Fork of the Chattooga. There was no shortage of adventure, and the campers collected plenty of stories to bring back to Camp afterward.
