Jimmy lives on the banks of the Yadkin River in Forsyth County, North Carolina with his wife, Grace and their two Basset Hounds. Jimmy and Grace are the parents of three Merrie-Woode campers and counselors, Mary Ann, Gracie, and Bess. A native of Raleigh, Jimmy’s mother was a camper in the 1930s and subsequent generations of his extended family followed her lead. After a stint in senior roles on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch of North Carolina, Jimmy is the Assistant to the President for Government Relations at his alma mater, Wake Forest University. Jimmy has served on the Vestry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem and is on the Board of the North Carolina chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He served previously on the Board from 2008 to 2014.
