Dan and his wife, Amy, reside in Atlanta and are the proud parents of two daughters, Sara Sims and Harris, who both live and work in New York City. The family has a deep and enduring connection to Camp Merrie-Woode, where both daughters spent over 13 years as campers and counselors. The memories made Merrie-Woode are among the most cherished and formative experiences of their lives. Amy, who is actively involved in several non-profit and charitable organizations, sets an excellent example of service and community engagement within the family. Dan and Amy are enthusiastic supporters of Camp Merrie-Woode, and he previously served on its Board of Trustees from 2015 to 2020, including roles as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. He also was part of the search committee that helped select the camp’s new directors in 2022. In his professional life, Dan is the Chief Growth Officer for TeamHealth, a physician-led, patient-focused, hospital-based services company. In this role, he spearheads the company’s growth initiatives, with a focus on building new contract relationships, forging strategic partnerships, and driving acquisitions. With more than 35 years of experience in healthcare, Dan has held leadership positions at organizations such as Cardinal Health, Hill-Rom, AMSCO, and American Hospital Supply. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and marketing from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
