Fall 2007: The holidays are upon us and thoughts of the past summer are fast becoming pleasant but distant memories. While many of us are busy now with typical fall activities, attending school meetings, watching college football, cheering on soccer players and anxiously hoping for the cool temperatures, Camp Merrie-Woode is busily preparing for it 90th session. It is hard to believe that campers have had the opportunity to participate in the Merrie-Woode experience for almost a century!

In May 2007, the Camp announced a goal of $100,000.00 for the Merrie-Woode Foundation's 2007 Annual Fund. I am delighted to report on behalf of the Foundation that donations of just over $85,000.00 have been received thus far. We are so close to our goal and hope that we can count on you to help us reach it.

Merrie-Woode, as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, relies on the generosity of people like us - parents, grandparents, alumnae and friends. Now more than ever the need is evident for a place where life is a little slower and where campers' goals and dreams are nurtured. Merrie-Woode is committed to excellence in camping. The annual fund affords Merrie-Woode the ability to offer outstanding programs in an environment that remarkably has remained the same for almost a century. This is why the annual fund is critical and why it is supported by so many.

Please consider a gift to the annual fund so that we can achieve our goal. Thank you so much for consideration and continued support.
