Today was another beautiful Sunday here at Camp Merrie-Woode! At Chapel today, among our very special guests, was Captain Rainbow, who mimed for us a performance named “Father and Daughter.”
The Sunday activities today were especially adventurous, including a visit from the Balloon Fairy, a trip to Grimshaws, the Slip N’ Slide, a trip to Silver Run Falls, and the usual Old Bald hike and Dam Swim. I had a lot of fun splashing around, blowing up interesting balloons, and watching Wimbledon with the Ace tennis class during the late afternoon rain.
Tonight was Tajar Night, which meant that all Senior Staff members got to dress up like me and host the Cookout tonight, the theme of which was dress like your favorite cabin! Instead of going to Campfire as we usually do on Sundays, all the campers gathered in Castle to watch Finding Dory! Everyone enjoyed the movie and the shelter Castle provided during the torrential downpour that greeted us just as the movie began. Now for a good night’s rest in anticipation of the last full week of camp.
