Talent Night

2016_06_15Well it’s another warm day here at Camp Merrie-Woode. I started the day hanging with my friends down at the barn, where the instructors were teaching the girls the importance of grooming. Then I swung over to the Nature Nook and saw the campers playing games and making soap! What fun! I heard a shout coming from the archery field where someone got their first bull’s-eye! It was starting to get hot outside, so I decided to see what jewelry making was up to. One camper was making a beautiful necklace, while the others were making fun bracelets. I decided after that, to take a dip in the lake and saw the canoe class had made slides out of their canoes and were sliding down them off the dock. When no one was looking, I took a turn myself!  What folly!

The mountaineering group has been busy with tons of hikes, caving, and rock climbing trips throughout the week! And, the boating group has been taking advantage of this nice weather by going on fun outings to different rivers. Tonight’s Evening Program was Talent Night! The girls had so much fun showing off their unique talents and being cheered on by their fellow campers! What a day!

About the Author
Tajar is something like a tiger, and something like a jaguar, and something like a badger; and if you should see him once, you would forget what he looked like, but if you should see him twice you would forget to forget what he looked like, and that could be quite fatal. The Tajar lives near Merrie-Woode...in Merrie-Woode and around Merrie-Woode and under Merrie-Woode and over Merrie-Woode. He's a mischievous little creature, filled with folly, who keeps his ear to the ground on all the goings on at camp!
