Four More Days of Vacation…
We may only have four days of camp left, but things are just gearing up around here! The Costuming and Stagecraft classes have been working hard to complete everything for our play, Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever. The costumes and set that they have built are so impressive! I can’t believe what Drama Staff and their campers have done in such little time. The first dress rehearsal was this afternoon, and the members of the cast, running crew, and wardrobe crew are really starting to see all that they have accomplished!
Meanwhile, down at the docks, campers are still learning new things day after day. I saw some campers perfecting their hip-ups in kayaking and another group of campers expertly practice capsizing and recovering their sailboat!
Everyone had a blast at tonight’s Evening Program, Plaque Night. Each cabin designs a plaque together to commemorate their summer and add their name to this summer’s home. You may have seen these plaques in the cabins on Opening Day—over the course of several decades, they have collected in each cabin to mark every camper who has once called it home. After studying their own cabin’s plaques all summer, the campers get to add their own to the ranks tonight!
