2015 June Session Play – Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever!
“Never underestimate children. Their powers of observation are often far superior to those of an adult.” – Nancy Drew
We are so excited to announce that this year’s June Session play will be Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever!
Based on the beloved mystery series by Carolyn Keene, Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever follows the girl detective and her chums as they try to solve her biggest case ever (imagine that)! Upon meeting the recently-orphaned Pendleton sisters, Nancy learns there’s something fishy going on at the Pendleton estate. The plot thickens when Nancy learns stories of a haunted cottage and a hidden treasure. Will she be able to help the Pendleton sisters find the treasure and save their estate? Join us this summer to find out! We can promise car chases, kidnappings, action, intrigue, and so much more!
We are honored and excited to be the second theater company to produce this version of Nancy; the show’s world premiere was just last year at First Stage! Written and conceived by Jeff Frank and John Maclay, Nancy Drew and Her Biggest Case Ever brings Nancy back to her origins in the 1930s and is true to Nancy’s original voice, quick wit, and strong spirit. Blending together two classic Nancy Drew novels, The Bungalow Mystery and The Quest for the Missing Map, this play captures everything that has made Nancy Drew a beloved figure of children’s literature for over eighty years. Frank and Maclay’s script presents our ideal vision of Nancy, and we can’t wait to bring her to life on the Castle stage this summer!
