Join Us This Fall for Father Daughter Weekend!
We are getting excited for our 3rd annual Father & Daughter Weekend this fall! Camp will open its gates to fathers and daughters of the Merrie-Woode family on September 26 – 28. John Brantley will return to camp again this year to lead the weekend’s activities.
Just as the leaves are beginning to change here on the shores of Lake Fairfield, Merrie-Woode girls will bring their dads to camp for a weekend of meaningful conversations and adventurous activities. The weekend is structured to let the daughter take the lead in every aspect, and each moment focuses on strengthening communication and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the most popular activities is always The Great Race. Everyone races across camp from one station to the next in a camp wide competition. The girls decide which route to take, while each family works together through mentally and physically challenging tasks in order to make it to the finish line. And after a vigorous water cannon battle, the Merrie-Woode fathers and daughters gather in the Campfire Ring to cap off the night with camp songs, s’mores, and maybe even a Tajar Tale!
Perhaps the most meaningful experience from the Father & Daughter Weekend is that the dads finally have a chance to see firsthand what camp is all about…girls growing into young women and confident leaders.
Families can register easily on our Off Season Programming page! The cost per father/daughter pair is $550, and $110 for each additional daughter. These fees include all meals and lodging. Deadline to register is September 5th! Reserve your spot today! Alums from previous Father & Daughter Weekends should not hesitate to return, as the weekend will strengthen and build upon the same valuable skills.
